Stargazing

Keep looking up . . .

Look up at the night sky. See the stars. Points of light. Through the largest telescopes they are still points of light. You can’t get close enough to see how magnificent they are, but distance also saves you from the immense power that makes them shine. You are a spectator in the universe, and that’s okay.

Standing here, you can’t see all the things you need to see to understand who you are, who you will be, where you’ll end up. Nor will you be able to see all the things that will hurt you until you touch them, either out of curiosity or out of desire.

Keep looking, keep imagining the universe you want to live in, the person you want to be. That person is out there, looking back at you, waiting.
