Warning from the past?
Ruins: What once was, isn’t. What might have been, won’t be.
You can build on top of old ruins, or possibly raze the crumbling original and start fresh. In either case the ruins still exist in our hearts, our minds and our memories, and we can’t help but color our new creations with the vivid paint of that failed past.
Deny what you see, deny what you feel, but don’t ever deny what has gone before, even if it’s all in ruins.
